If you’ve ever not gone to God about a problem because it seemed too small or unimportant, today’s video is for you! Justin Paul from WAY-FM admits to doing this in his own life. And tells why he’s out to change that!

Read (from the New Living Translation)

In the middle of so much else going on, Jesus sees you, knows exactly what’s going on in your life, and meets you there. Just like He meets the woman in today’s story.

If you read all of Luke 8 with us, you’ll see that Jesus was actually on his way to heal a little boy when this woman reached out to him. She must have thought her problem wasn’t enough to bother Jesus with in the middle of someone else’s life or death situation – but see how Jesus responds? He knew her and He cared.

Luke 8:43-48

A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding,[a] and she could find no cure. Coming up behind Jesus, she touched the fringe of his robe. Immediately, the bleeding stopped.

“Who touched me?” Jesus asked.

Everyone denied it, and Peter said, “Master, this whole crowd is pressing up against you.”

But Jesus said, “Someone deliberately touched me, for I felt healing power go out from me.” When the woman realized that she could not stay hidden, she began to tremble and fell to her knees in front of him. The whole crowd heard her explain why she had touched him and that she had been immediately healed. “Daughter,” he said to her, “your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

Note: If you’ve read the Bible before, you may notice there are no chapter or verse marks in today’s reading. We got this idea from the Immerse Bible. They’ve taken the entire story of Jesus and stripped it of all distractions – this way it’s a more relaxed read. Like you’re reading a beautiful story. You should check it out!

Thank you for this message. Jesus knew I needed to hear this today. I had Abad day yesterday and felt like it was to small to give to Him.

Hallelujah, Diane! Not only is this account from Luke 8 encouraging, but better yet … Jesus encourages us in all our circumstances – big or small. See you on the Prayer Wall where we can pray with you!

He’s never too busy for us … & nothing is ever too small for Him to care & help. He loves us like that woman on that day. What a day that was for her … what a life-changer! Thanks Dianne.

This is great. I often feel like, especially with all that has happened in the past few months, who am I to worry or complain? I look like I have it made compared to those people! But God amazes me every day in so many ways, and being reminded that he cares about me and my tiny issues as much as any other problem is so overwhelmingly comforting and very necessary today.

There are some Bible stories we never grow tired of. Don’t you wish you could have been there to see Jesus’ face & to hear His voice of comfort? One day we will see Him forever!

praise God! I imagine myself as this woman in the reading today on a regular basis to just touch a piece of his clothing to be healed is an amazing thing!

I agree CarrieAnn. I want to stay as close to Jesus as I can. I’m always going back to the Gospels to learn from Him, & I’m always better for it!

I try to remember to not only take the big and the little to God, but to also thank Him and share with him even when I don’t have a need. Thanking Him for the things He does for me even the things that I don’t specifically ask for. Things such as being able to get myself out of bed and ready for work each morning, being able to fix my own breakfast, and being able to drive my car to work. I believe too often we take the mundane for granted and only turn to God when we feel… Read more »

That is so true. I guess this is what “praying & praising always” is all about. Thanks for the reminder to “notice” God in everything too! He wants to hear our praises too.
