Meet Pastor Dave! Not only does he make some great points about today’s reading, but he shares his own story of meeting Jesus, too. He learned about this topic by seeing it play out in his own life.

Read (from the New Living Translation)

Jesus didn’t have to be baptized. He’s the Son of God after all! But He chose to lead by example. You can find comfort in the fact that He understands the steps you need to take.

Luke 3:21-22

One day when the crowds were being baptized, Jesus himself was baptized. As he was praying, the heavens opened, and the Holy Spirit, in bodily form, descended on him like a dove. And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”

Thank you for letting God work through you each day Pastor Dave! We have yet to talk, but nothing seems more powerful then a ministry of prayer! I will make sure to say a prayer for what you are doing and for someone on the Prayer Wall right now!

Thanks, brother. I couldn’t do it without the prayer support of others & the supernatural power of God! I not only enjoy the fellowship of prayer with our listeners, but to know that Jesus is praying for me is absolutely amazing & humbling! [Hebrews 7.25]

Two great words, CarrieAnn. Our surrender to Jesus is really our victory [1 John 5.3-5]!

When he said ask Jesus what can I do for You today. Really touched my heart. I am trying to remember to put Christ first in EVERYTHING. which sometimes is not easy. Thank you for sharing. We can have fun in Christ.

In my morning prayer each day I ask that when other are around me each day that they will see Jesus in me, not necessarily me. What or who I am is not the important part, what is important is that I can be a vessel that they can see and know Jesus through. I know I am far from perfect, but I do hope and pray that each day I can do at least one thing that will help someone else know and love Jesus.

That is a great prayer & it makes for a blessed day. Jesus is always more attractive than we are, isn’t He [Titus 2.9-15]? Praying for that one person today!

I went to work for ACMNP (A Christian Ministry in the National Parks) to get to know more about American culture. Yes, to learn more about my own country, but other people took an interest in me as we would take an interest in Jesus, and who He is. I learned through the years that it’s not in going to church every Sunday that we know who Jesus is, it’s the life that we build around Him. Today I have people in a small group I’m accountable to on the other side of town from where my church (the building)… Read more »

Thanks for the reminder that Jesus is the great Unifier & Heaven is the great worship place where every tongue, language, & nation will be represented because of Christ [Revelation 5.9]. May we truly be His Church here on earth!

I honestly thought you were in the Holy Lands Pastor Dave. Forgot how beautiful America is and that it has a Holy presence around it. So many times I am in awe of what Jesus has done throughout his life. First talking at the temple and now being an example of obedience through baptism. This allowed me to understand believers baptism show make outward joy of being His follower and to be an example for others.

Every day, we get to shine His Light to others. I guess that makes any “land” we’re in HOLY, doesn’t it? What a privilege to be in fellowship with Him wherever we are! I too am in awe a lot … & that’s a good place to be!

Be the gospel and use words only if necessary.

The example sure does make the words even more powerful, doesn’t it? I was just reading in John 4 today – the woman shows by her example of change & uses her words to draw many in the whole town in, so that Jesus spent 2 days there teaching. Don’t you love that?!!
